This is from Mitch W1SJ, in case you did not already receive an email from him." VT HAM RADIO ACTIVITIES!There are a whole bunch of ham radio activities coming up in Vermont in the next month:VERMONT QSO PARTY February 4-5 (UTC)HAM-CON - ARRL VERMONT CONVENTION February 25 (8AM-2PM)W1AW/1 VERMONT OPERATION March 28 - April 3.Before providing a few details, a reminder for the folks in NorthernVermont that our annual Winter Breakfast is BACK. We will convene this Saturday, January 25 at 9AM-noon at JP"s Deli, 39 River Road (Rt 117), Essex. Join 30+ hams as we do what we do best. Eat and Talk! No reservations required - just show up and order off the menu. The Vermont QSO Party is February 4-5 - details atwww.ranv.org/vtqso.htmlWe need a lot of Vermont stations to get on the air and work people. If you know when you plan to be on, drop me a line and I'll post your schedule on the site. If you have questions about the rules or logging issues, ask BEFORE the event.HAM-CON is Saturday February 25 at the Hampton Inn Convention Center, off Route 2/7 at I-89 Exit 16. We will have all sorts of forums, discussions and demonstrations. Our theme this year is "GETTING ON THE AIR!" The program is coming together right now, so go to ham-con.org/ for all of the up to the minute details. A pre-buy ticket is only $6 - SUCH A DEAL, but don't wait too long as that price will go up. If you are unable to travel, you can get an admission ticket and watch the forums on line. But do try to attend live - its more fun that way.The week of March 28 through April 3 we will put W1AW/1 on the air from all over Vermont as part of the VOTA (Volunteers on the Air) activity. This is similar to the activity we last did in 2014.Good operators with good stations are needed to sign up for a dizzying assortment of bands, modes and times so that everyone can find W1AW/1. If interested, be sure to contact me.So - don't stare at the four walls while warming in front of the wood stove - get out and get active! To contact me directly, click "reply" or send to w1sj@arrl.net. One ofthose methods should work. Maybe.73,Mitch "73 de STARC ... See MoreSee Less
