RACES 2007 Drill Schedule

RACES has scheduled some quarterly VEM RACES drills to maintain a level of readiness and provide opportunities to exercise radio equipment. The first drill will be held on February 14th and will be for just the RACES program. The next three drills ? April 18th, Aug. 8th, Oct. 17th ? will coincide with Vt. Yankee Nuclear Power Plant exercises. This will provide an opportunity to pass traffic statewide that reflects evacuation scenarios and healthcare information. The intent of these drills will be to utilize the 27 RACES healthcare stations, VTANG Joint Operations Center, VY EPZ Team and other strategically required stations. Further information on the drills will be forwarded shortly.

Statewide RACES program drill dates -

1. April 18, 2007 Combined Functional VY Drill with full participation at the State EOC.
2. August 8, 2007 VY Practice Drill for Evaluated Exercise with full participation
3. October 17, 2007 State NRC/FEMA Evaluated Exercise with full participation
